See Red Women’s Workshop
Working together collectively from 1974 to 1990, See Red Women’s Workshop grew out of a shared desire to combat sexist images of women and to create positive and challenging alternatives. The collective were based in London and formed to make silkscreen posters as propaganda for the women's' movement. Over 45 women from a wide range of backgrounds came together to make posters and calendars that tackled issues of sexuality, identity and oppression. The posters have continued to inspire younger activists and in 2016 four collective members produced a book: See Red: Feminist Posters 1974-1990 with Four Corners Books.
